HELLO, I'm nicole!
I guess this is the part where I tell you a little bit about myself. Lets start with the boring stuff. I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, a town best known for it's stock yards and little else. We do have some pretty great art museums though, which might still be considered boring to some people, but I'm a fan despite the museum fatigue. I went to college at Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia where I graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design. This is where my love affair with caffeine started and where I learned that sometimes Sleep Comes After Death.
When I'm not hanging out with my dog or getting my ass kicked in a spin class, I want to be out experiencing something new. I like to do things that scare me, as often as I can. I know that may sound like I'm one of those adventurous thrill seekers, but you will NEVER find me jumping out of a plane or riding a dirt bike 100 mph. It's not really danger I'm interested in. It's more that I like to challenge myself to leave my comfort zone. I love to travel to new place and try new foods and do new things whenever I get the chance. You know, as long as it doesn't actually put my life in danger. One of my favorite quotes by Jane Austen says, "If adventures will not befall a young lady in her own village, she must seek them abroad," and that's what I strive to do. One of my latest adventure took me all the way to Bali, Indonesia where I spent a month taking care of sea turtles, cleaning beaches, and educating the locals about the environment. IT was something I never thought I would have the chance to do in a million years, and it was one of the most rewarding things I've ever done.
Here are five insignificant things you might like to know about me: 1) I love exploring museums, but I suffer from some serious museum fatigue when I do 2) I'm a minimalist 3) I want to hug every dog i've ever seen 4) I'm on a quest to visit all the National Parks in the U.S. 5) I'm a vegetarian.
